Safety First!

Safe together through the winter with lots of #hochalmmoments !

HOCHALM SAFETY - safe vacation

With the variety of measures that we implement with full responsibility and common sense are required so that we can do this together. At the same time, we would like to give you the usual #hochalmmoments with a little distance and a well-thought-out hygiene concept.

We have separated the check-in and check-out areas in order to keep a better distance and are there for you during winter season from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm. Of course you can pay contactless. Please let us now if you should arrive later than 10:00 pm. Keycards and pens are disinfected before dispensing.

The Austrian Federal Government has adapted the COVID19 measures as follow.

Upon arrival, you have to present one of the valid 2G rules for guests aged 12years and over:

  • Covid19 disease / recovered (that has been passed - not older than 6 months)
  • vaccination certificate (valid from the day of the 2nd vaccination) with an EMA-approved vaccine

Double vaccination: valid for 270 days from the date of the second vaccination or from any further vaccination. There must be at least 120 days between second and third vaccination and at least 14 days between first and second vaccination.
Single vaccination: Note: If only one dose of Janssen/Johnson&Johnson vaccine has been administered, this will no longer count as full immunisation from 3 January 2022.

A first vaccination with a vaccine that provides two doses is not sufficient!

Children up to the age of 11,99 do not need to provide their own proof.

Children from the age of 12 require appropriate proof:

  • For entry, the 2G+ and 2.5G rule for children applies (vaccinated, recovered PLUS negative PCR test)
  • 2G+ proof is required for entry into accommodation, gastronomy, sports facilities, leisure facilities and ski lifts

NEW: For all children of school age (usually affects the age range from 12 to 15 years), a negative PCR test (max. 72 hours old) is accepted as 2G proof if negative tests throughout one calendar week (of which at least 2 tests are PCR tests) can be shown. A new negative test must be presented after the 72 hours have elapsed. Information about on-site testing opportunities can be found here! Please inform yourself regularly about changes!

Exception for people who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons: In this case, a medical certificate in combination with a negative PCR test (max. 72 hours old) is considered as proof.

This regulation applies as well for the transport with the mountain railways in Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn and austria!

  • FFP2 masks compulsory from the age of 14 years in enclosed public spaces, children from the age of 6 - 14 years require mouth-nose protection, children under 6 years do not need mouth-nose protection
  • Closing time from 27.12.2021 10 PM for Bar and restaurants!

When you need a negativ PCR test

Please find several scenarios below:

  • 2x vaccinated (or 1x vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson): PCR test mandatory*
  • 3x vaccinated (or 1x vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson plus Booster): no PCR test needed
  • Recovered: PCR test mandatory**
  • Recovered, then 1x vaccinated: PCR test mandatory
  • Recovered, then 2x vaccinated: no PCR test needed
  • Recovered, vaccinated, recovered: no PCR test needed
  • 1x vaccinated, then recovered: PCR test necessary**
  • 1x vaccinated, then recovered, then vaccinated: PCR test necessary
  • 2x vaccinated (or 1x with Johnson & Johnson), then recovered: no PCR test needed

*) The first dose of Johnson & Johnson is currently still valid to enter Austria. However, during your stay you need a booster jab to gain 2-G status
**) If you have recently recovered there is an alternative to the PCR test.

Our team wears FFP2 mouth-nose protection and are extensively trained to comply with the new hygiene measures. We kindly ask you to wear a FFP2 mouth-nose protection mask in all public areas as well. You are welcome to bring your own vacation accessory. Of course, we also have FFP2 masks ready for you.

The daily room cleaning has adapted to the new standards and worked out together with our hygiene partner. Frequently used contact points such as door buckles are also disinfected regularly. The laundry is washed in accordance with the strict hygiene regulations of the Salesianer company, which is also the leading textile supplier in the healthcare sector.

Of course, we would like to continue to offer you the usual Hochalm culinary delights from a combination of buffet and served dishes, in compliance with the new distance requirements.

Our cleaning and disinfection plan has coordinated based on the current hygiene guidelines of the Austrian Hotel Association.
• Disinfection stands are distributed throughout the house in sensible places (reception, lobby, restaurant, bar, public toilets, sauna and bike cellar)
• The cleaning intervals are increased
• All door handles and contact points are regularly disinfected

The safety and well-being of our guests and team has top priority! All our employees will be tested weekly for Covid19 as well have already received the vaccination.
