This privacy statement relates to the collection and use of personal data. This data could be collected when you visit our website, when you make direct bookings or booking enquiries, or when you obtain further services, such as purchasing a voucher. We would like to provide you with the following information to give you an overview of what types of data are collected, how they are used and for what purpose they are collected. We respect your privacy and strive to strictly comply with the legal requirements for the processing of your personal data (EU Regulation No. 679/2016 (DSGVO), DSG and TKG 2003). All your personal data is processed on this basis. Data protection is of a particularly high priority for the management of Residenz Hochalm GmbH. You are also welcome to send us personal data by alternative means, for example by telephone.

How is personal data collected, stored and used?
When you access our website, your access data is automatically collected and stored. This access data may include, in particular, the page accessed, the files viewed, the date and time of the access, the IP address of the user, data of the accessing computer, in particular the browser and the operating system, as well as the amount of data and the notification of the successful access. This access data is used by us for internal statistical purposes to ensure the security of our offer and to optimise the offer. In the event of suspicion of an illegal act, the access data will be evaluated to preserve evidence. 

By entering your personal data in one of our contact forms, you consent to the transmission to and storage and processing by us for the duration of the servicing of this specific enquiry. This applies in particular to your enquiries via contact form and e-mails that you send to us. We need this data to process your enquiry and in these cases also store your IP address for the purpose of preserving evidence. The data is stored for as long as is necessary to answer any supplementary or subsequently asked questions by you or us.

Direct booking options and booking enquiries on the website
Personal data requested by us in connection with a room booking will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the processing of the contract and any subsequent contract-related correspondence (usually one year) or, in the case of documents relevant under commercial and/or tax law that contain personal data, for as long as the statutory periods of the German Commercial Code and the German Fiscal Code provide for the storage of these documents (usually 6 to 10 years). Legal basis for the processing of personal data in connection with a room booking: Personal data processed in connection with a room booking is necessary for the performance of the corresponding contract, Article 6 (1b) DSGVO. We also process booking data in accordance with Art. 6 (1f) DSGVO based on our legitimate interests for fraud prevention, enforcement of our legal claims, accounting and risk management purposes. Pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1c DSGVO for the fulfilment of legal obligations, e.g. to comply with commercial and tax retention obligations or to fulfil obligations to hand over data due to a legally binding court order or official directive.

We do not use profiling or automated decisions. 

Newsletter
You are free to subscribe to our newsletter. The registration, for which you must disclose your e-mail address and give your consent to receive the newsletter, can only become effective when you confirm a link to the registration, which you will receive by e-mail. In order to be able to provide you with targeted information in the newsletter that is of particular interest to you, we also allow you to provide details of specific interests, key dates, location details and regions and the like when you register.

Information security and data protection
We take technical measures to enhance information security in data protection and to protect your data from loss, theft, unauthorised access, disclosure and destruction. In areas where credit card information may be entered through the website, we use SSL encryption. This ensures the confidentiality of your personal credit card information during transactions over the Internet.

To whom is your data passed on?
We at the Hotel Residenz Hochalm hereby confirm that we do not sell on any guest data to third parties for marketing or other deviating purposes. The setting of links from the hotel website to other external websites does not involve the passing on of personal data, but merely serves to provide further information. We accept no responsibility for the content of other external, non-hotel websites. These may be links to sports partners, leisure facilities in the region, mountain railways, tourist associations, etc. Our guests decide for themselves whether they wish to follow these links or not. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have by telephone or e-mail.

Use of cookies 
We use cookies, which are small text elements used to store information in web browsers. Cookies are recognised the next time you visit our website and make a significant contribution to speeding up loading processes and making the use of our offers more convenient for you. The information recognised and stored by cookies serves to recognise you, but also to analyse your user behaviour. They are stored on the server of the respective provider who, as an order processor, has undertaken to comply with the applicable data protection standards.

After you have visited our website, cookies remain stored on your end device unless you refuse them from the outset or actively delete them. Actively deactivating cookies may impair the functionality of our website for you. You can also prevent cookies from being stored by setting your browser software accordingly. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our website. 

Furthermore, you can prevent the forwarding of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available on the website google.com. However, the plug-in is only available for certain browser programs.

We also use third-party content on our website to make our internet presence as informative and convenient as possible for you. This includes, for example, Google Maps, RSS feeds or YouTube. These third-party providers receive your IP address for technical reasons. We have no influence on the use of this data by the third-party provider. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. 1600, Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your user behaviour is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Your IP address will be shortened beforehand within the European Union and thus anonymised or at least pseudonymised. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services to the website operator in connection with website and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Google Maps
This site uses the Google Maps map service via an API. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To use Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. The use of Google Maps is in the interest of making our website appealing and to facilitate the location of places specified by us on the website. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.

Facebook Social Plug-Ins
We use Facebook social plug-ins of the social network Facebook, operated by the companies Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square Dublin 2, Ireland, and Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94303, USA. These plug-ins are buttons that Facebook uses to measure who is visiting our website. If the visitor is also registered as a user with Facebook and logged in, additional information is also stored by Facebook. Facebook receives your IP address for technical reasons. YouTube plug-ins
Our website uses plug-ins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plug-in, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Declaration of consent of the user
By using our website and the offers contained therein, you consent to the storage by us of the personal data voluntarily submitted by you and to its processing and use in accordance with this data protection declaration.

Right to information
You have the unrestricted right to free information about your data stored by us as well as the right to delete or block inadmissible data or the right to correct incorrect data. Upon request, we will also be happy to inform you in writing whether and which personal data we have stored about you. As far as possible, we will take appropriate measures to update or correct your data stored with us at short notice. In these cases, please contact our hotel management directly.

What rights do you have in the handling of your data?
You can revoke a data protection consent that you have given us at any time. The revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point. A revocation has the consequence that we will no longer process your data for the above-mentioned purposes from that point on.
