This privacy statement relates to the collection and use of personal data. This data could be collected when you visit our website, when you make direct bookings or booking enquiries, or when you obtain further services, such as purchasing a voucher. We would like to provide you with the following information to give you an overview of what types of data are collected, how they are used and for what purpose they are collected. We respect your privacy and strive to strictly comply with the legal requirements for the processing of your personal data (EU Regulation No. 679/2016 (DSGVO), DSG and TKG 2003). All your personal data is processed on this basis. Data protection is of a particularly high priority for the management of Residenz Hochalm GmbH. You are also welcome to send us personal data by alternative means, for example by telephone.

How is personal data collected, stored and used?
When you access our website, your access data is automatically collected and stored. This access data may include, in particular, the page accessed, the files viewed, the date and time of the access, the IP address of the user, data of the accessing computer, in particular the browser and the operating system, as well as the amount of data and the notification of the successful access. This access data is used by us for internal statistical purposes to ensure the security of our offer and to optimise the offer. In the event of suspicion of an illegal act, the access data will be evaluated to preserve evidence. 

By entering your personal data in one of our contact forms, you consent to the transmission to and storage and processing by us for the duration of the servicing of this specific enquiry. This applies in particular to your enquiries via contact form and e-mails that you send to us. We need this data to process your enquiry and in these cases also store your IP address for the purpose of preserving evidence. The data is stored for as long as is necessary to answer any supplementary or subsequently asked questions by you or us.

Direct booking options and booking enquiries on the website
Personal data requested by us in connection with a room booking will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the processing of the contract and any subsequent contract-related correspondence (usually one year) or, in the case of documents relevant under commercial and/or tax law that contain personal data, for as long as the statutory periods of the German Commercial Code and the German Fiscal Code provide for the storage of these documents (usually 6 to 10 years). Legal basis for the processing of personal data in connection with a room booking: Personal data processed in connection with a room booking is necessary for the performance of the corresponding contract, Article 6 (1b) DSGVO. We also process booking data in accordance with Art. 6 (1f) DSGVO based on our legitimate interests for fraud prevention, enforcement of our legal claims, accounting and risk management purposes. Pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1c DSGVO for the fulfilment of legal obligations, e.g. to comply with commercial and tax retention obligations or to fulfil obligations to hand over data due to a legally binding court order or official directive.

We do not use profiling or automated decisions. 

Newsletter
You are free to subscribe to our newsletter. The registration, for which you must disclose your e-mail address and give your consent to receive the newsletter, can only become effective when you confirm a link to the registration, which you will receive by e-mail. In order to be able to provide you with targeted information in the newsletter that is of particular interest to you, we also allow you to provide details of specific interests, key dates, location details and regions and the like when you register.

To whom is your data passed on?
We at the Hotel Residenz Hochalm hereby confirm that we do not sell on any guest data to third parties for marketing or other deviating purposes. The setting of links from the hotel website to other external websites does not involve the passing on of personal data, but merely serves to provide further information. We accept no responsibility for the content of other external, non-hotel websites. These may be links to sports partners, leisure facilities in the region, mountain railways, tourist associations, etc. Our guests decide for themselves whether they wish to follow these links or not. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have by telephone or e-mail.

Use of cookies 
We use cookies, which are small text elements used to store information in web browsers. Cookies are recognised the next time you visit our website and make a significant contribution to speeding up loading processes and making the use of our offers more convenient for you. The information recognised and stored by cookies serves to recognise you, but also to analyse your user behaviour. They are stored on the server of the respective provider who, as an order processor, has undertaken to comply with the applicable data protection standards.

Your IP address will be shortened beforehand within the European Union and thus anonymised or at least pseudonymised. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services to the website operator in connection with website and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. We use Facebook social plug-ins of the social network Facebook, operated by the companies Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square Dublin 2, Ireland, and Facebook Inc., 1601 S.
